The function is responsible for technical topics with the silicon foundry partner to enable the ramp up of a new product and secure high volume production in terms of the yield and quality targets of embedded flash products for the Infineon division Connected Secure Systems (CSS) General aspects: › Technical engineering interface to business unit, technology development and silicon foundry Driving of yield improvement topics IFX internal and with silicon foundry partner › Communication and Discussion of results to/with silicon foundry partner, esp. explanation of product test results to enable proper root cause finding at silicon foundry partner › Definition of analysis actions for root cause finding › Mapping of test fail results to potential process/technology steps › Evaluation and assessment of split experiments and process changes based on functional test results and PCM data › Handling of excursions and problem solving with silicon foundry partner Yield engineering: - Recognize trends and suspicious developments, elaboration of yield pareto and detractor analysis - Correlation of functional test results to PCM data - Systematic analysis of topics, mapping of topics in technology, design or test related for focused root cause finding - Definition and driving of analysis actions for root cause finding - Development of hypothesis for detractor root causes - Address topics to relevant parties (GloFo, design, test, FA) - Discussion with silicon foundry partner, requesting actions at silicon foundry partner side, challenge outcome Volume production: › Lot release › (Standard) Yield reporting › Compile yield roadmap and track improvement measures › Evaluation of correlation test for new test programs, test program releases
