Senior Engineer , MEM NPM(new project management) Job Description An MEM NPM Sr. Engineer is responsible for monitoring overall MEM NPI qualification process from design review until safe launch for successful ramp in HVM and meet development milestone and package quality in PGR(phase gate review) and escalate if needed to make sure NPI can meet business requirements. Interface with OSAT PDE NPI Eng. , POM,TPM,GQ,MEM DRI, Capacity, a point of contact with the BU/PDT/Quality and Reliability Group/Testing group as well as the External Manufacturing Engineering. Establishing NPI process capabilities, strategy and roadmap; manage sub-cons on engineering related issues. Host NPI phase gate review at each stage to make sure all NPI can smoothly ramp and safe launch during HVM. Responsibility: Responsibilities and Tasks Follow Micron's culture , PITCC , people, innovation, tenacity, collaboration, customer focus. Help stakeholders to remove the gaps with inputs all around and connect team together to resolve the problems encounters during operations or manager's assignment Collaborate with stakeholders to use innovative way to resolve the problems and meet top-down requirements . To achieve the goal with tenacity manners no matter how difficult or how fuzzy it is. Define the problems, find the root cause and then, resolve it. Must have can-do mindset instead of complaints. Host the phase gate review to monitor NPI schedule and quality on the board and connect MEM OPS, PDE PIE, POM,TPM, GQ,PQRA, …,etc together across all MEM sites Monitor and escalate overall NPI activities achieve phase gate Project milestone Remove the gaps once encountered anything not feasible during NPI highlighted by BU Fine-tune the phase gate review along the way to make team adapt to the procedure. Post mortem report of key customer Aout decommit Work with DRI to fulfill NPI demand tool commitment. setup metrics to track NPI yield and understand the key yield losses to drive yield improvement. Work with team and external mfg partners to drive yield improvement in LVM Formulate strategy and program to reach MEM OPS KPI Manage External Eng. Partners on Engineering ,quality,operation related issues Formulate strategy and work with external engineering partners to NPI delivery on schedule. Understand external mfg partners equipment, process capability and technology roadmap. Work with MEM engineering team team to support delivery on line items related to engineering issues Drive and summarize quality issue( like MRB or excursion) that caused any output decommit or revenue impact till closure follow through pass down from management which might be dynamic. Education: Minimum must have Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from a recognized university or related field equivalent technical work experience. Experience: More than 5-10 years’ experience in any of the following: Assembly Process/Equipement engineering Experience in NPI development or technical integration role Experiences of project management with Gantt chart OSAT management experience, or experience working in subcon will be a plus Personal Competency · Solution provider mindset when reporting to management · Problem solving skills · Incluence skills to all level · Result Orientation · Integrity/Tenacity/Customer Focus/ · Teamwork Travel Requirement: 20% (Taiwan and internationally) Work location: Taichung or Hsinchu
