● 5+ Coordinates with the ChromeOS coordinators/warehouse technicians to ensure information is received timely and clearly ● Conducts compatibility tests with other software programs, hardware, multiple operating systems, and network environments ● Documents tasks and processes. Sets up new machines. Handles all front line troubleshooting ● Identifies, analyzes, and documents defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in embedded software program functions, outputs, online screens, and content ● Installs, maintains, and uses testing embedded software programs ● Performs tests and provides timely test results to test engineers and test leads ● Reviews computer logs and reports to identify program processing errors and possible improvements ● Tests hardware and related applications to compare to specifications and documentation ● Performs flashing, firmware upgrade, flashing unsigned images ● Works with team to improve processes (upgrades/changes) ● Works with the developers and test engineers to influence test cases when needed ● Coordinate incoming and outgoing international or domestic shipments based on project requirements. ● Coordinate and perform troubleshooting for Chrome OS PartnerEng testing , and clear documentation for both internal and external partners ● Work collaboratively with various teams across the globe, ● Track support issues and escalate to proper channel ● Replicate and identify partners' challenges / issues, coordinate Google internal resources to provide solutions. Additional Roles: - Beyond the day-to-day, improve the ChromeOS partners experience by contributing to longer term projects and documentation efforts - Work closely with ChromeOS PEng Operations to provide seamless support to OEM/ODM/EMS/3PL Mandatory 1. ChromeOS support experience. (in lieu of ChromeOS exp, 3 years support in Linux) 2. BS degree (In lieu of degree, 3-5 years relevant work experience). 3. English and Mandarin fluency mandatory.
