Purpose： Manages and coordinates new product development and testing activities. Oversees the evaluation of product performance with the testing engineers and technicians. Recommends and implements testing procedures and strategies for products, systems, components, or modifications to support new product development and quality improvement in coordination with the project managers in his group and leaders in other groups. Develop new products by identifying competent supplier partners, analyzing marketing opportunities, filtering projects and providing support to internal and external customers to optimize product success. Accountable for the consistent product quality assurance standards by establishing and enforcing standard inspection methods, ensuring consistent communication across the business units and holding suppliers to a quality standard. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. Key Responsibilities： 1. Lead product testing activities assisting in product design and improvements by providing guidance to technicians, analysts, and engineers, to include running machine and off-line tests, troubleshoot and correct problems with machines and products, reverse engineer competitive products, use existing and improved testing protocols. 2. Build new tools and devise new measurements to provide solutions and recommend product design changes and assist suppliers in implementing those changes. 3. Recommend and perform design of experiment to identify issues and solve problems quickly. 4. Perform final technical review of test results compiled by technicians. Communicate the summary outcome internally and externally to suppliers. 5. Participate in the training, supervision and management of the laboratory technical staff ensuring that proper and thorough tests are completed. 6. Evaluate new materials and technologies from suppliers to determine their application to existing products and to ensure proper testing and qualifications. 7. Participate in developing product quality plans to ensure product specifications are met. 8. Provide and advise on designing appropriate tests and experiments to evaluate products and manufacturing processes to ensure proper testing and evaluation of products. 9. Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives and professional development. 10. Complete other projects and activities as assigned to deliver consistent internal and external customer service.
