Generates qualification plans and release reports for analog and discrete semiconductor products that are aligned with Diodes’ corporate level internal requirements and customer specific reliability expectations. Tracks progress of qualification status, reviews reliability test data and results for completeness and correctness, determines disposition of non-compliant products, reviews and releases qualification reports for Diodes’ internal factories as well as foundries and subcontractor assembly/test sites. Qualifications may be for newly developed commercial and automotive semiconductor products, manufacturing processes and materials, or changes to existing processes, products, and manufacturing sites. Utilizes previously generated qualification data in order to apply qualification by similarity (QBS) rules as much as possible. Reduces qualification cycle time and cost while still meeting reliability performance requirements. Responsible for continually improving the customer's valuation of the quality experienced with any Diodes process, product, or service beginning with new product development through product end-of-life. Interfaces with globally distributed business units, functional managers, design engineers, product/test engineers, wafer fabrication and assembly/test sites, and sales to provide technical support for process and product qualifications, and reliability & risk assessments of Diodes’ products. Reports to the Corporate Quality Director in Diodes’ corporate headquarter located in Plano, TX, USA. Supports CQE organizations and occasionally interacts directly with external customers as reliability subject matter expert to ensure customer specific reliability requirements are addressed. Uses models to predict or estimate reliability performance of qualified products and processes under specific usage conditions. May assist CQEs in performing reviews and completion of 8D reports for technical customer returns. May occasionally need to support internal or external customer quality audits. Experienced with automotive semiconductor qualification and reliability requirements, i.e. AEC-Q100/101/006 and related business processes. Very strong English communication skills – written and verbal – are required as well as an ability to work comfortably across organizational and geographical boundaries to drive problem resolution and influence actions without direct authority. Requires a BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering with 5-10 years of related experience in the areas of semiconductor manufacturing, product engineering, packaging, quality and reliability engineering.
