Our Platform Hardware Engineering is looking for a Systems Engineer to provide support to our Taiwan sales and service team. In this role, you will responsible for platform related systems engineering as related to new system design, new system installation support and existing system support. Determine system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. You will be need to be responsive and satisfy our customer needs. Build engineer-to-engineer relationships with customers. Gain customer and industry knowledge to feed our new product roadmap. As a member of the systems engineering group, (s)he will be responsible for identifying, developing, qualifying and releasing new products for our current and next-gen product lines. Job Description Works independently, but receives direction from Platform Engineering Manager in the form of goals and objectives - either written or verbal to achieve the following: 1. Become the local technical engineering expert on the overall system design. 2. Learn the system operation that includes mechanical, electrical, and software functionality. 3. Continuously enhance the technical knowledge of system robotics, teaching, troubleshooting, maintenance procedures. 4. Be a focal point of contact for engineering support on system operation at customer sites and in the engineering lab. Test new electrical and hardware components as an interface for Global Change Control Board (CCB) to validate and feedback on the new designs. 5. Main interface to coordinate testing of system hardware and software improvements on lab tools. 6. Work with Process Engineering in testing the system, finding appropriate usage to achieve results, define enhancements or quality improvements. 7. Support all Customer Escalation Engineering support. 8. Travel to Customer sites as a content expert on engineering functionality (Electrical, Mechanical and Software). 9. Provides support to Engineering, related to installation, operation, calibration, service and/or testing of a new hardware, process or software design 10. Provides Alpha and Beta Site Support and management 11. Specifically related to installation, operation, calibration, service and/or testing of a new hardware, process or software design. 12. Provides system support for engineering systems in reliability and/or applications labs. 13. Makes presentations at the engineering and management level to customers on system upgrades, support plans, technical demonstrations.
